We're excited to welcome Celsia Floral to the DALINA family! With blossoms and tulips finally showing their faces after a long, wet winter, we're excited to learn a bit more about spring blooms. We asked Celsia to give us a few key pointers for this season.
DALINA: What are the best seasonal flowers for April and May?
Celsia: Spring is a burst of colour! Tulips, Hyacinth, Narcissus, Daffodils, Iris, Peonies, Frittilaria
DALINA: What colours are your favourite this season?
Celsia: This season we are looking to brighter tones and unexpected colour palettes to celebrate creativity and exploration. Bright yellows, poppy reds, saturated blues and pinks.
DALINA: What should people look for when buying flowers?
Celsia: A fresh cut and clean water.
Bloomed flowers don't necessarily mean shorter vase life.
No shattering petals or dead foliage.
DALINA: Any professional tips for our readers making their own arrangements?
Celsia: Use sharp clippers. Dull blades crush the stem rather than giving them a fresh cut for maximum hydration. Choose no more than three different types of flowers. Too many shapes or textures can make an arrangement look "busy". Change the water or top off the water daily. Simply run the tap straight into the vase until the water runs clear. Flower food is great if you have it, but a pinch of sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice will do the trick.
